DCSIGAda Program for 2004/2005

Schedule

The DCSIGAda Chapter generally meets on the 2nd Thursday on alternate months October through April atMITRE2 in McLean, Virginia, the DC SIGAda Venue. Every other month, we meet jointly with the Baltimore SIGAda Chapter at their venue.They generally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. There are some exceptions to avoid major holidays. There is no December meeting. This year the SIGAda 2004 Conference will be held from 14-18 November in Atlanta, Georgia. You are all urged to attend. The URL is below.

Tuesday 14 September 2004	A screening of the film To Dream Tomorrow the story of Ada Bryon Lovelace, the World's First Programmer for which the Ada Programming Language is named at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, the Baltimore SIGAda Venue.
Thursday 14 October 2004	Mr. Terry Bollinger on Security of Open Source Software in Distributed Systems at the MITRE2 Building in McLean, Virginia. Slides from Terry Bollinger's presentation are available online as a PowerPoint Presentation (pps, 259 KB)
Tuesday 9 November 2004	You are encouraged to attend the SIGAda 2004 Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Consequently there will not be a local meeting on 9 November.
Sunday - Thursday 14-18 November 2004	ACM SIGAda Annual International Conference (SIGAda 2004) - in Atlanta, Georgia.
Thursday 13 January 2005	Mr. Ross Rader had a conflict and was unable to speak. The meeting for 13 January is cancelled. We will try to reschedule it in the near future.
Tuesday 8 February 2005	Stephen Leake of NASA will be speaking on Stephe's Ada Library; 15 years of Useful Ada Packages at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, the Baltimore SIGAda Venue. Thursday 10 March 2005	Ron Chaptman and Martin Croxford both of Praxis High Integrity Systems and members of the SPARK Team will be speaking on Recent Results with Correctness-by-Construction and SPARK at the MITRE2 Building in McLean, Virginia. Tuesday 12 April 2005	This meeting was cancelled due to a recovery from surgery.
Thursday 12 May 2005	This meeting was cancelled due to a recovery from surgery.
Tuesday 19 July 2005	A Special Organizational Meeting was held from 7:00-10:30 PM at Harry's Cafe in Silver Spring, Maryland. This meeting addressed the merger of the DC and Baltimore SIGAda Chapters. We agreed in principle that it would be beneficial to merge the 2 SIGAda Chapters and we will work to do so.
