SIGAda maintains a number of different mailing lists using LISTSERV list management software on the ACM server. Several lists maintain archives of all messages. You can browse a directory of all public ACM lists.

You can e-mail to the list address to send messages to various constituencies of SIGAda and other Ada organizations. Just add @acm.org after the list name to form the correct e-mail address.

There is information on this web page on how to subscribe to and sign off SIGAda mailing lists.

Subscribing to a SIGAda Mailing list

You can subscribe to many of these lists and receive copies of all messages sent to them. To subscribe to a list, send mail to LISTSERV at ACM.ORG containing a single line with the command SUBSCRIBE followed by the name of the list, followed by your name. Your name must consist of at least two discrete words. For example, to subscribe to SIGAda-Announce, you would send the line similar to the following.

SUBSCRIBE SIGAda-Announce First_Name Last_Name

Some lists are closed to general subscriptions and some lists require the permission of the list owner. In all cases, the LISTSERV will notify you of the status of your subscription request.

Signing off a SIGAda Mailing list

You can sign off any list you are a member. To sign off a list, send mail to LISTSERV at ACM.ORG containing a single line with the command SIGNOFF followed by the name of the list. For example, to sign off the list SIGAda-Announce, you would send the line

SIGNOFF SIGAda-Announce

Be sure to send your signoff command from the same e-mail account you used to subscribe to the list. If you have any difficulty signing off a list, contact the SIGAda Secretary at SIGAda_Secretary at ACM.Org
